January 2017.Príncipe de Viana launches Príncipe de Viana Garnacha Blanca 2016.
The last addition to their line of single-varietal wines is Príncipe de Viana’s further contribution to recover old native grape varieties and show their full potential.
With their new Garnacha Blanca wine, Príncipe de Viana rediscovers a grape with Spanish essence, strongly rooted in the winemaking history of Navarre, but which has sadly been neglected for decades. Príncipe de Viana Garnacha Blanca 2016 pays a tribute to this grape variety and evidences its expressive potential.
For many years now, Príncipe de Viana has been promoting the use of native varieties such as the Garnacha Blanca and Tinta, the Tempranillo or the Graciano, with the ambition of recovering these invaluable assets of the region’s history and culture.
Príncipe de Viana Garnacha Blanca 2016 achieves its objective. This is a frank wine which displays a distinctive white Grenache aromas of fruits -citrus and acid pears, and hints of flowers. In the palate it is full, fresh, with a balanced acidity and a long aftertaste. Perfect as an aperitif, but also ideally paired with seafood, fish, pasta, salads, vegetables and rice.
Príncipe de Viana means quality, differentiation, and dynamism to fulfill their customers’ demands. This philosophy has been recognized by international press and experts such as Peñín, the International Wine Cellar, or The Wine Advocate (Robert Parker), to name but a few.
