May 2018. Príncipe de Viana 1423 Reserva 2013 receives a Gold Medal from the international Sommelier Wine Awards.
With a coupage of 80% Tempranillo and 20% Garnacha Tinta, Príncipe de Viana’s special 1423 Reserva was made with the best grapes from vineyards selected at the estate. It is complex, with a fruity bouquet of ripe cherries, blackberries, and well integrated notes of chocolate, pipe tobacco, cinnamon and roasted coffee. This wine lingers on the palate forever.
Bodegas Príncipe de Viana has always prioritized an extreme care for their vineyards and a preoccupation to capture the essence of each grape variety. Therefore, Príncipe de Viana 1423 Reserva is a true image of the best quality grapes of two noble varietals, Tempranillo and Garnacha, from the estate’s most notable vineyards.
The Sommelier Wine Awards Gold Medal adds up to the outstanding 90 points granted only recently to Príncipe de Viana 1423 Reserva 2013 by influential Wine Enthusiast magazine.
Príncipe de Viana’s philosophy of the highest possible quality and respect for the vineyard has earned the recognition of international experts and press, such as Guía Peñín, the American magazine International Wine Cellar, or The Wine Advocate (Robert Parker).
