July 2018. Príncipe de Viana Edición Rosa has received 91 points from Spanish wine Akatavino guide, compiled by renowned sommelier Antonio Jesús Pérez Reina.
“Congratulations for the score and for making wines that express your terroir and personality in each and every glass”, the wine expert wrote to the Navarre cellar and advised the readers of the guide:
“You deserve a bite of freshness among floral aromas. A wine from a single vineyard and a single grape variety. A success of Bodegas Príncipe de Viana because it offers a wine with an excellent presentation and a very lively content, fresh, full of hints of red fruits and a floral perfume, with rich, sharp, outstanding acidity which adds freshness and balsamic citrus aromas that accompany every sip. This wine is only possible because Príncipe de Viana Edición Rosa comes from a single vineyard of Garnacha Tinta managed for over a decade to produce rosé wines. Its grapes are harvested by hand and at night in order to avoid aromatic losses and maintain Bodegas Príncipe de Viana’s high quality standards.
