A selection of late harvest 100% Chardonnay grapes makes Príncipe de Viana Vendimia Tardía a rare offering, as it is not common for a sweet wine to be made entirely of this white grape. The winemaking also adds complexity, having aged in oak barrels for 12 months.
The result is a fresh, lively and aromatic sweet wine with a complex nose, unctuous and warm on the palate, with attractive flavours of quince, orange peel, hazelnuts, walnuts and dried figs.
Príncipe de Viana Vendimia Tardía has received uncountable awards over the past years. To name but a few examples, Challenge International du Vin granted Príncipe de Viana’s fresh sweet wine a Gold Medal, and 90 points were extended by the prestigious Decanter WWA. In addition, this wine was selected Spain’s ‘Women’s favourite wine’.
